Cloud-based consumer warranty tracking application drives customer satisfaction and revenue potential for mobile retailers

BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- 2013 Mobile World Congress -- Brightstar Corporation, the world's largest specialized wireless distributor and leader in wireless services, today announced Warranty Hotel by Consensus, a new lead & profit generating service for retailers. The new service, offered by Brightstar's multi-channel retail subsidiary Consensus Corporation, allows mobile consumers to keep track of their receipts and device warranties easily, while helping retailers realize more revenue from their extended service programs.

Warranty Hotel helps increase sales of extended warranties by enabling retailers to send offers directly to their customers who opt-in to the program. In addition, Warranty Hotel makes it easy for retailers to offer contract extensions to customers with existing extended warranties and other service plans.  Warranty Hotel speeds up the process of getting repairs or service on customer products, which can help boost customer satisfaction and retention.

The new service also helps increase Buy-back and Trade-In program activity, by allowing retailers to proactively send mobile device trade-in offers directly to customers that have purchased products in their stores. The simple to use, app based application presents customers with the current trade-in value of their existing devices and allows them to trade in their devices for new ones from any place they are connected to the Internet.
