Househappy is a user-generated search engine with the mission to simplify property search and make information accessible to everyone.

Househappy was founded by Kevin McCloskey, a licensed real estate broker in California, Oregon, and Washington, with over 25 years of industry experience. "I created Househappy and tailored the user experience based on years of feedback from buyers and sellers, as well as my experience as a broker," McCloskey said. "Existing real estate sites limit visual search, are crowded with too many charts and graphs, and seem to hinder communication rather than encourage it. We want to minimize the unnecessary visual noise to simplify property search."
Househappy's clean, minimalist design includes scrolling pages of high-quality thumbnail images and user-friendly search filters to make it easier and faster for people to find what they're looking for. Buyers can search for properties that fit their particular requirements (including location, price, financing options, seller concessions, property features, community attractions, and more) and browse by images, not text. Providing user-generated content ensures that all posts contain the most accurate and up-to-date information.
In addition to simplifying search, Househappy is a community platform. Brokers and FSBOs (for sale by owners) can create detailed posts for any property type or sale type, and use their personal profile to directly connect with prospective buyers. Househappy profiles include direct contact information, links to social media, and the ability to track properties you have liked and/or connect with users who have liked your posts. Househappy is optimized for desktop, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices to make it easy to use on-the-go.
