Image Searcher Inc. Announces CamFind - Mobile Visual Search Released on iOS - Four Times More Accurate Than Google Goggles
LOS ANGELES, April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Image Searcher Inc. today announced its launch of a free mobile visual search application for iOS, CamFind. CamFind is like Google Goggles, but goes above and beyond. CamFind's level of accuracy is above 85%, whereas Google Goggle's accuracy is between 15-20%.
CamFind is designed to give the user an easy access to mobile visual search, while on-the-go. A CamFind user can take a photograph of any object, have it identified by the application and then be prompted with the following: Internet search results, related and similar images, price comparisons and online shopping, related places and address finder, and movie trailers. In addition, the application boasts many time-saving functions, such as: QR and barcode reader, voice search, language translator, ability to save an image to camera roll and upload images from the camera roll, and text search.
"In September 2012, traditional desktop search declined for the first time in history, while mobile search volume increased," said Dominik Mazur, CEO and co-founder of Image Searcher Inc. "We saw this as an opportunity to reinvent the mobile search by combining mobile users' passion for photography and discovering new information."
CamFind has three main competitors in the visual search space: Google Goggles, Amazon A9, and IQ Engines' oMoby. However, CamFind holds the advantage with its 85% accuracy rate, a response time of 15 seconds or less, and its ability to identify images from any angle.
