LG Debuts New Line Of Ranges With Innovative EasyClean(TM) Feature
Unique Technology Allows Excellent Oven Cleaning In Just 20 Minutes without Harsh Chemicals
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics USA has launched new large-capacity ovens featuring the next generation of oven cleaning technology, called LG EasyClean(TM). Thanks to LG's innovative oven enamel technology, these new ranges provide quicker and more convenient oven cleaning, while still offering a conventional self-cleaning option.
Available now for the first time in the United States, the EasyClean feature works in three simple steps: Spray the oven interior with water, press the EasyClean button and in just 20 minutes, wipe away residual bits of grime*. No chemicals or high heat are needed to help keep the oven sparkling clean. LG offers both EasyClean and self cleaning features to give users the freedom to choose between speedy cleaning for lighter, everyday messes and a more extensive process for heavier, built-up grime.
"The motivation behind many new appliance technologies has been convenience and time savings, because we know consumers would rather do the things they love and spend time with family," said David VanderWaal, director of home appliance brand marketing, LG Electronics USA. "EasyClean technology is another step in that direction, allowing consumers to clean their ovens with less hassle and in minutes, not hours."
LG's flagship double oven range with EasyClean (Model LDE3037) combines this convenient cleaning feature with superior cooking technology that saves time and hassle for today's busy home chef. LG's Infrared Grill eliminates the need for preheating, cutting more than 20 percent from total cooking time**. Cooking results with Infrared Grill also tend to be juicier than traditional thermal cooking, as it uses the same technology found in premium outdoor grills. In addition, LG's True Convection and EvenJet(TM) Convection help achieve more precise cooking with faster heating and more even heat distribution.
The range offers large capacity ovens at 6.7-cubic-feet, so consumers won't need to worry about presenting dinner dishes in stages. The double ovens allow for the cooking of two separate dishes, at different temperatures, at the same time. The upper 6-inch-tall oven offers added flexibility to cook select items rather than having to preheat the larger oven.
The double oven ranges with EasyClean are available now in both electric and gas configurations. LG offers the ranges in a smooth white, black, or stainless steel finish. Manufacturer's suggested retail prices vary from $1,199 to $1,799.
LG plans to introduce the EasyClean feature in single oven ranges in the third quarter. The new ranges join LG's broad array of cooking appliances that include induction, radiant and gas cooktops, freestanding and slide-in ranges, built-in wall ovens, over-the-range microwaves and countertop microwaves.
* Heavy build-up may require additional manual effort or use of the full self-clean feature.
**Compared to LG's non-infrared grill ovens using chicken breasts, hamburgers, and salmon.
