The ZEROtherm GX710 is a good VGA cooling solution from a new player in this market. A tie, however, is rarely satisfying in this business. As I mentioned earlier, the GX710 is almost surely going to be more expensive that the GX700 and, being a bit heavier, doesn't have much to recommend it over the 700.

Quote: The Cooler Master Hyper TX offers just about everything you would want in a processor cooler; easy installation, minimal noise, respectable cooling performance, and the secondary benefit of cooling motherboard components near the processor... Despite the compact size and light weight of the Hyper TX, it did quite well when it came to thermal testing.

In this review I will utilize the KuFormula VF1 Plus VGA cooler to tame the burning desire my video card has to combust into flames. While there are at least dozens of various aftermarket VGA cooling solutions available at the time of this writing, it seems Sytrin has introduced something that stands out as unique and different in a sea of similarity. Using copper-based heatsink with dual heatpipes, the KuFormula VF1 is a formidable cooling solution on its own, add to it the radial fan system and anodized aluminum RAM heatsinks, and you have yourself one superior package for your VGA space heater.

As always Logitech does everything with style and for a reasons. The Logitech G11 is the newest gaming keyboard from Logitech and it is no exception to their rule. The color scheme is perfect, key layout is dead on and the G Series keys on the board will be just what gamers will want.

Open source software is a software license that allows the user to take a look under the hood, make any tweaks and adjustments that they might like to see, and then freely redistribute that same software to anyone they wish.

With all the advancements in computer technology over the years, computer components are running hotter and hotter requiring higher performance (louder) cooling solutions to keep the heat monster at bay. This seems to be more of a problem with today's performance video cards where video card vendors are out fitting their cards with cooling solutions that will rival your home vacuum cleaner in the noise department.

In August Intel had announced their new Linux graphics driver website as well as announcing the immediate availability of open-source display drivers for the 965 Express Chipset. This Chipset offers fourth-generation Intel graphics architectures in the form of the GMA 3000 and GMA X3000. Here at Phoronix we have run some tests on the Q965 Chipset and GMA 3000 graphics with their open-source drivers, and have our results to share today under GNU/Linux. We had also compared Intel's open-source graphics performance against the open-source R300 DRI drivers.

Quote: The Ballistix 2GB (1GBx2) PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory Kit lives up to Crucial's long standing reputation for quality, while helping to bolster their newer presence in the performance system memory market. The PC2-6400 modules did well in testing, and the lower timings (4-4-4-12) helped this 2GB kit beat out another kit with more standard, 5-5-5-15 timings.

Intel is going to implement 2 new sockets for the next generation Nehalem architecture in 2008 and they are Socket B and Socket H. As we know, Nehalem is 45nm based and we are going to see some exciting changes such as IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) and CSI. Socket B will be LGA1366 and Socket H will be LGA715. The reason why Socket B has so many more contact pads is pretty obvious.

Thanks to Jetart, system builders and performance enthusiasts will have a new tool to help maintain a cool running and stable system. If you want to overclock the front side bus on your motherboard to the extreme, then the original equipment heatsink just won't do. The Jetart JACSG1 North Bridge Cooler is a perfect fit and replacement for the standard Pentium-based Northbridge chipset cooling solution.

This PSU should prove to be a worthy addition to the very competent Toughpower line. The stability was impressive and the modular cables not only performed admirably, but look very good in their sleeving. Outstanding stability and a rich feature set like this, however, doesn't come cheap.

The AW9D-Max is Abit's second motherboard to date that supports the Core 2 Duo. The first was the AB9 which is based on the Intel P965 chipset. But their top dawg is the AW9D-Max. A full feature motherboard that sports a great color scheme as well as a host of other things that may make this the board to have.

ATI's Radeon X1650 was introduced with the X1950 XTX and the X1300 XT. Just what is this card? As the name suggests, it is a little step up from the X1600 XT. With the same amount of pipelines, and slightly higher clocks, is there anything to look forward to with the X1650 Pro? No doubt, this card at least runs cooler - insured by a smaller manufacturing process. Does it bring balanced performance at a fair price? How does it fair compared to the X1300 XT? Most importantly, is it worth buying?

Quote: The Monsoon II TEC CPU Cooling System was designed exclusively for Vigor Gaming by Macstek Technology and brings TEC cooling to the enthusiast community in package that is nearly all enthusiasts can use without a problem. The Monsoon II is RoHS compliant, which means it can be sold around the world and available to many markets. The Monsoon II takes advantage of something found back in the 1834 by a scientist named of Jean Peltier. Peltier discovered the inverse of the Seebeck effect, and came up with the Peltier effect. The Monsoon II takes this cooling technology from 1834 and has added the latest in heat pipe and monitoring technology to come up with a CPU cooling system that performs better than standard air coolers.
