Chasing unimaginable treasures Pirates venture into Marleybone & Aquila
PLANO, Texas, May 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- KingsIsle Entertainment released two new worlds, Marleybone and Aquila, for its Massively Multiplayer Online family game, Pirate101. The release also includes numerous new features.
"This is a substantial update to Pirate101 - larger in scope than any we have done before across all of our games," said Josef Hall, vice president and creative director at KingsIsle Entertainment. "Two new game worlds, 15 levels and the introduction of highly anticipated systems like the Bazaar give our rapidly expanding player base exciting new capabilities and vast new areas to adventure in."
The Marleybone story, in Book 13, puts players into the depths of a war zone they helped create as the Clockwork Armada sails upon the Westminster Skyway. Players will face consequences of their former actions all the while meeting a rich cast of new characters and recruiting fun companions, like Catbeard, to their crew.
Book 14 brings the mythos and humor of Aquila to light when players attempt to win the favor of Athena and Ares. Adventure and danger await players as they meet legendary heroes like Eagilles and Hawkules while squaring up against fearsome enemies like Manticores, Ettins and even Medusa the Gorgon.
Other major updates to the game include a Bazaar for players to buy and sell items in a common market, a new tutorial and turret bosses for large groups of player pirate ships, "Transportalors" to zip pirates from world to world, and even new treasure chests that give a second chance at raiding the troves of the biggest and toughest enemies found in Pirate101.
