Panasonic Announces Powerful, Portable Wireless Speaker

New "Tough" Design Creates Powerful Sound in any Environment

SECAUCUS, N.J., July 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America has announced the introduction of the SC-NT10 Portable Wireless Speaker System with Bluetooth(TM) compatibility.  With Quad Proof "tough" performance, the speaker system is ideal for outdoor use and a compact size makes it extremely portable, so users can enjoy high-quality audio performance no matter where they are.

Four "tough" performance traits allow for the Panasonic SC-NT10 to be used in nearly any outdoor setting.  The device is Splash Proof*(1 )which enables use near water areas like the pool or beach; Dust Proof*(2) making it well suited for areas such as sandy beaches; Shock Proof*(3 )(passing drop tests from a maximum of 30 inches) which allows impact resistance during use in sports; and Freeze/ Heat Proof*(4) which allows for the device to withstand severe climates, such as hot days under the scorching sun and cold winters on the ski slopes. These Splash Proof, Dust Proof, Shock Proof, and Freeze/ Heat Proof design qualities enable carefree outdoor music in all seasons.

In addition to a durable design, the Panasonic SC-NT10 is equipped with superior sound and dynamic bass, packed in an extremely compact body.  The SC-NT10 incorporates two Full Range Speakers (1-3/ 8 inches) and a Passive Radiator (2 inches) to produce crystal clear audio.  Additionally, XBS Master, a high-quality music technology developed by Panasonic, is filled with premium sound technology including XBS, which amplifies low-frequency sounds; Multi Band Gain Control, which eliminates unnatural sounds generated in the process of automatically controlling distortion; and H.BASS, which adds harmonics to enable the reproduction of bass sounds at low frequencies, such as 80 Hz or less, which were previously difficult to reproduce with this class of speaker.  Using Boost Mode, the SC-NT10 can boost the midrange sounds that are naturally easy to hear, so music that was lost in surrounding noise is clear for comfortable listening.

The Panasonic SC-NT10 Smart Networking features allow for greater ease-of-use.  NFC*(5 )(Near Field Communication) enables easy Bluetooth pairing for connection to a smartphone or tablet device by simply passing the device over the SC-NT10. Audio signals that are lost during transmission from a smartphone or tablet are compensated by the Bluetooth(®) Re-master*(6) function for a level of sound quality that virtually equals the originally transmitted sound. In addition to playing music, a built-in microphone allows for hands-free conversation when you get a phone call through your connected smartphone. 

The Panasonic SC-NT10 operates on a rechargeable battery*(7) that operates continuously for up to eight hours.  Users can also charge their smartphone or tablet device directly from the SC-NT10's USB port.
