Framehawk Introduces Application Virtualization Platform Trust Services

Partners with Ping Identity to enable secure access to virtualized applications for mobile devices

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Framehawk, Inc. an innovative start-up providing an application virtualization platform for mobile environments, today announced that it has partnered with Ping Identity(®), The Identity Security Company(TM), to create a cloud-based Trust Services capability.  Framehawk's Trust Services Cloud ensures that any Framehawk user is fully authenticated via appropriate corporate credentials prior to being allowed to even request access to Framehawk virtualized applications.

Framehawk enables enterprises to mobilize their corporate applications without sacrificing performance or user experience, providing IT with the policy controls it needs to secure and manage corporate data for virtualized applications. By integrating with Ping Identity's leading enterprise identity bridge for standards-based federated identity management, Framehawk users can now benefit from federated single sign-on (SSO), secure mobile access, and automated user provisioning.

Framehawk's platform means existing applications of all types, including "thick" Windows client/server applications and web applications using any technology can be quickly and easily mobilized without requirements for redevelopment or any changes to the applications.  The applications are run in a secure container that can be deployed in the public cloud, private cloud or in a virtual appliance in an organization's data center.

Framehawk's app automatically supports many user experience enhancements to support touch and gestures without putting any data on the mobile device itself. The architecture also enables fast, secure delivery of new applications, such as the latest HTML5 web apps, without browser compatibility issues or requiring VPN to be deployed on the device.

"Framehawk's Workplace app enables multiple existing applications to be virtualized and accessed from mobile devices," said Peter Badger, co-founder and CEO of Framehawk. "Two major requirements from our customers have been to support federated identity and SSO. We're excited about our new partnership with Ping Identity because, as the leader of delivering standards-based federation and access management to global enterprise organizations, we can offer our customers simple and secure one-click access to their applications."

"Framehawk's new Trust Services capability enables secure access control to virtualized applications," said Mike Desai, Ping Identity Senior Director, Worldwide Business Development. "This provides an opportunity for enterprises to fully embrace mobility and BYOD with increased confidence about the security of their data."
