Launch of TUV SUD-WT Certification Mark at Wearable Technologies Conference 2015 in Hong Kong
HONG KONG, Oct. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 3(rd) Wearable Technologies Conference in Asia, organised jointly by Wearable Technologies Group (WT) and TUV SUD, was held on 12(th) October 2015 at the Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View Hotel. Almost 200 attendees from the wearable technology industry participated in the conference, where they learned about the latest trends and technological developments in medical and consumer wearable technologies. The highlight of the event, however, was the Asia launch of the TUV SUD-WT Certification Mark, which provides a one-stop solution for ensuring the quality and safety of wearable technologies.

The global wearable's market is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 35% over the next five years, reaching 148 million units shipped annually in 2019, up from 33 million units shipped in 2014. To capitalise on this rapid growth, wearable device manufacturers need to address a wide range of factors that affect the quality, performance and safety of their products. TUV SUD and WT has jointly organised this event to help the wearable industry players in Hong Kong gain insights on how they can ensure user safety.
