Ramos Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Toyota
- New cooperation demonstrates Ramos' trusted capabilities
SHENZHEN, China, Dec. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramos, an emerging and engaged brand in the Chinese mobile phone market, is becoming more and more a topic of discussion among industry watchers and consumers with each new product launch. MOS1 max, the company's second smartphone, has remained highly popular since the launch at the end of this October, largely due to the large screen and the power efficiency.
Soon after the release of the R9, Ramos' first fingerprint identification-enabled mobile phone, several websites wrote articles about the product's unique features. Recently, Ramos entered into a strategic cooperation agreement to develop and manufacture tablets for Japan's Toyota. The new cooperation with Toyota, a firm long known for its adherence to high quality standards, demonstrated Ramos' compliance with the demanding standards in development and quality control.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ramos will develop customized software and hardware used in tablets that meet Toyota's requirements as well as be in charge of the production and quality control. Japan, a well-established leader in the global electronics market, is known for its key technologies used in the manufacturing of electronic products and strict requirements in quality. As one of the world's largest carmakers, Toyota has always focused on high standards and quality, in much the same way as all leading Japanese companies. The cooperation with Toyota showcased Ramos' highly-recognized technologies and quality.
To ensure the success of the partnership, one that is highly valued both by Ramos and Toyota, the management and members of the Toyota project team made several trips to Ramos headquarters in Shenzhen, a city that is known as China's Silicon Valley. In addition, Ramos' sales and technical teams also visited Japan several times to discuss the cooperation and the specific terms of the agreement with Toyota.
This in-depth partnership is not a random event. Ramos has been recognized by a number of internationally reputed brands, including Microsoft and Intel, for its philosophy of seeking excellence in quality and user experience. In 2012, the company launched the first tablet using the Intel processor, becoming Intel's first global tablet partner. Ramos has since unveiled the series Intel core-based tablets which feature high performance, low power consumption and dual systems, fundamentally changing the traditional way of using a tablet and providing a new experience for users. In particular, thanks to the support of its partners, including Intel and Microsoft, Ramos' i Series Intel intelligent tablets are available in over 50 countries and regions around the world and have been highly acclaimed among users.
Ramos has rolled out two smartphones since its entry into the mobile phone market in July, 2015, becoming one of the fastest growing cell phone brands in China on the back of its extensive experience in technologies as well as the attractiveness of design, length of battery life, improved user experience and dedication to quality control. After a thorough inspection of Ramos' production facilities and authentication of the processes deployed by Ramos during the manufacturing process, Toyota became convinced of the Chinese company's capabilities in research and development as well as in quality control and of the firm's growth potential, further facilitating the strategic cooperation.
Thanks to their continuous investment in research and development in smart terminal technologies over the past few years, Chinese IT companies have been able to compete with international brands when it comes to product design and process. Chinese mobile phone vendors, for example, have not only exceeded international brands in the domestic market in terms of market share but also delivered strong performance in many markets outside of China.
Toyota's decision to partner with Ramos has demonstrated the international brand's recognition of the Chinese company's R&D and quality control capabilities. Ramos looks to utilize Toyota's advanced technologies and wide experience in production and management through collaboration with the world-reputed Japanese partner.
