Airbiquity Announces Expanded Infotainment Delivery Offering For The Global Automotive Market
New Initiative Gives Automakers More Options for Deploying Infotainment Applications to Connected Car Programs
SEATTLE, Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Airbiquity(®), a global leader in connected car services, today announced the expansion of its Driver Experience infotainment delivery offering to include Template and Projection based deployment options. The addition of these two options provides automakers ready access to the company's global and regional infotainment app portfolio, Choreo(TM) service delivery platform, and a full range of choices for connected car infotainment app deployment:
Custom - Maximum flexibility via customized user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design applied to individual apps and integrated into multiple vehicle head units
Template -- Streamlined deployment via common pre-defined UI/UX design applied to multiple apps and integrated into multiple vehicle head units
Projection -- Minimized complexity via smartphone powered UI/UX design applied to multiple apps and projected into multiple vehicle head units
Airbiquity Driver Experience Template and Projection were designed to address growing automaker demand for low cost, easy to deploy infotainment content options, as well as proprietary apps featuring new vehicle centric services powered by data and analytics. Working with Airbiquity, automakers can quickly source and deploy infotainment apps into existing and planned connected car programs -- using proprietary and open standards -- to better meet increasing consumer demand for infotainment content in their vehicles.
"We are excited about bringing Driver Experience Template and Projection to the market, and the clear benefits they provide to automakers looking for low cost options to quickly and easily enhance their infotainment app portfolios," said Kamyar Moinzadeh, CEO of Airbiquity. "Customer feedback indicates a sizable demand for these offerings, and Airbiquity's innovative technology and integration expertise make us uniquely positioned to deliver."
Airbiquity has integrated over 45 infotainment apps and 12 vehicle head units into its Choreo service delivery platform for multiple automaker programs around the world, including translation into more than 30 languages. Leveraging this depth of experience and sizable app portfolio for Template and Projection based deployments is a natural evolution of the company's Driver Experience infotainment delivery offering.
Over 7 million vehicles have been deployed on the Airbiquity Choreo platform which powers hundreds of millions of monthly transactions for a wide range of services such as vehicle connectivity, safety and security, infotainment delivery, electric vehicle, and fleet management.
