Built-in DVR Capabilities Capture the Crowd from DJ's Viewpoint for Live Streaming & More
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CES Booth #12828 - Here's a new way for DJs to pump up the energy wherever they're playing master of music ceremonies: record the scene hands-free through the built-in DVR camera on Altec Lansing's new DVR DJ-Style Headphones, then stream the video in real time to the closest flat screen so the crowd can see itself from a DJ's-eye view for a true immersive experience.

Shipping in late Q2 with an MSRP of $199.99, the product will be the first to pair 40 mm large format drivers with an action cam in the same housing. The result will be a whole new toolset for DJs to build extra excitement at clubs and other venues as well as share the buzz on their websites, blogs and social media.
Simply press a button and the 1080P/30fps DVR camera embedded into one ear cup will start recording, capturing the action through a front-facing lens that sees exactly what the DJ sees. The results can not only be streamed via Wi-Fi integrated into the cans, but also stored on the product's 8GB internal memory and/or an external micro SDHC card up to 32GB for downloading after the show.
The headphones will come with instructions for downloading Magisto, a video editing app for iPhone, Android and Windows that automatically selects the best parts of any given raw camera footage, allows users to add music, themes and effects, and turns the results into a fully edited mini-movie in minutes. The app will enable DJs to quickly transform the video captured with the headphones into postable clips with no need for manual editing.
Other features will include:
-- A built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery with up to seven hours of
battery life
-- An integral microphone with wind cancellation and song
navigation/telephony buttons
-- TTS for voice activation and spoken caller ID by name, enabling the
headphones to double as a personal listening device via a paired
smartphone
-- Foldable construction for easy portability
-- Carrying case
Altec Lansing will be exhibiting at Booth #12828 at the Las Vegas Convention Center Central Hall at the 2016 International CES conference running January 6-9 in Las Vegas.
