LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FREETEL, a Japanese mobile handset manufacturer established in 2013, today announced its expansion into North America - giving U.S. consumers access to mobile devices made with Japanese craftsmanship at affordable price points.
After establishing itself as a trusted name in Japan following the success of its first smartphone, FREETEL will soon offer its acclaimed functionality and affordability to the U.S. market.

FREETEL's U.S. Portfolio
In Q1 2016, FREETEL will launch three phones in the U.S. - all LTE products - that focus on high-end design, in-demand functionality and affordability.
1. The Kiwami. With an MSRP of $389, Kiwami is FREETEL's flagship device for
the U.S. The handset will offer a six-inch WQHD display, a 21 MP rear
camera and 8 MP front camera, high-performing 3,400 mAh battery, fast
charging technology, Corning® Gorilla® Glass, as well intuitive gesture
technology, wireless data transfer capabilities and fingerprint
authentication.
2. The Miyabi. Priced at $199, Miyabi has a five-inch HD IPS display,
optimized processors and memory, along with high-end imaging features
such as a 13 MP rear camera, panorama mode, image stabilizer and more.
The phone will come in Black and White color options with a metallic
frame.
3. The Priori3. With the Priori3, consumers will enjoy fast performance,
stunning graphics and all the benefits of the Android((TM)) OS for just
$99.
Additional products that will launch later in 2016 include:
-- The Musashi. This sleek Android-based flip phone offers dual screens and
combines the functionality of a smartphone with the simplicity of the
flip design. It has a vibrant WVGA display, touch screen and front and
rear cameras.
Availability
The Kiwami, Miyabi and Priori3 will be available in Q1 2016 at FreetelWireless.com and Amazon.com. The Musashi will be available in Q2. The phones will be unlocked and will work with many U.S. GSM carriers, making it easy for customers to set up their phones. Future distribution plans include retailers, MVNOs and carriers.
