CentralColo Welcomes Baidu Research to Its High Density Data & Compute Center
SUNNYVALE, California, January 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
CentralColo, is proud to announce that it has completed deployment of Baidu Research
into its new pay per use high density focused data center.
Baidu Research had been searching for the right partner to empower its growth. "The
unique demands of doing cutting-edge research using an HPC cluster made it crucial to find
the right partner for us in the area. Due to the high density in our compute clusters and
evolving requirements that necessitate short timelines and flexible arrangements it was
important to find a provider we were happy with. Â The team at CentralColo was able to
quickly and attentively provide us with the power, cooling, and other requirements needed
to continue and expand our research."
CentralColo's investment into high density data and compute center, has enabled the
company to attract Silicon Valley firms that are in need of the power and cooling to
support their complex data crunching and calculations.
"We are excited to have Baidu Research in our new high density Data Center. We realize
that with the need for big data comes big power and cooling challenges, and with our
capital improvements, we have been able to provide the perfect platform for this crucial
business need," says Arman Khalili, CEO of CentralColo. "We have seen an increase of
customers requesting cabinets with 15 to 25 KW density so we invested in our
infrastructure in order to support IT loads up to 25 KW per cabinet."
CentralColo first facility is in the heart of Silicon Valley and well positioned to
address the needs of both mission critical IT loads and also the high density compute
requirements such as research and development, testing, warehousing and staging platforms.
CentralColo can offer the flexibility to configure space, power and cooling in a per pay
use data center model.
CentralColo has assembled a team of industry veterans to operate prime data center
properties and has opened its first data center Silicon Valley in June 2015. CentralColo
focuses on offering pay per use scalable data and compute center solutions while providing
high touch customer service. Â We will be expanding our operations to additional locations
to address our client's IT requirements.
