TruTag Technologies, Inc. is a leader in product authentication, brand security, and data intelligence solutions. Millions of optical patterns can be embedded into a TruTag®, a dust-sized particle smaller than the width of a human hair. TruTags® are inert, covert, and can integrate into the very fabric of a product without packaging or labels - much like fingerprints on a human being - for the authentication and assurance of provenance of some of the world's most valuable and life mission critical goods. For "Forces of Nature," LACMA will take 200 pieces on the road with TruTags® to provide inventory control during the collection's travel.

The opening of "Forces of Nature" will fall on the 50-year anniversary of another intersection of art and tech for LACMA: their groundbreaking 1967 exhibition "Art and Technology," which partnered artists like Andy Warhol, John Chamberlain and Robert Rauschenberg with pioneering tech companies. Half a century later, TruTag's pilot project with LACMA reflects the museum's long dedication to new frontiers of technology.

"We are delighted to be working with one of the most progressive and innovative museums in the world. The intersection of art and technology is a canvas that will be painted with amazing discoveries for the future," said Hank Wuh, MD, MPH, Chairman of TruTag Technologies.

"We look forward to partnering with TruTag as we test this unique tracking technology," said Nancy Thomas, LACMA's Deputy Director, "LACMA has a long tradition of promoting the alliance of art and technology, which creates exciting new frontiers."

"This is a technology that is a game changer for the world of art and collectibles," said Mark Blackburn, whose collection catalogue, The Mark and Carolyn Blackburn Collection of Polynesian Art, is authored by scholar Dr. Adrienne Kaeppler of the Smithsonian Institution. "The importance of TruTags® for museums, collectors, galleries, free ports, and most importantly living artists is beyond measure. I am really excited by the infinite possibilities."
