10G Backbone Ring Built by DYXnet Group Now Embraces Greater China's Major Cities
Group's network coverage extended to the US and Europe
HONG KONG, July 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- DYXnet Group, Greater China's leading carrier-neutral network service provider, has established a 10 Gigabit per second (Gbps) backbone ring throughout Greater China's major cities including Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Taipei.
In addition, the number of DYXnet's Internet and network points of presence (POPs) now exceeds 200 in 57 cities throughout Greater China, Vietnam and Singapore. Another two POPs are planned for Silicon Valley in the US and Frankfurt in Germany to meet the future needs of carrier-grade and global enterprises. This will bring the total number of Internet and network POP cities to 59 over the next 6 to 12 months.
Backbone infrastructure has been a major beneficiary of the Group's 2016 merger with 21Vianet's Content Centric Internet Backbone (CCIB) unit. DYXnet's total Internet capacity is now 1,000G, while Internet peering arrangements have now been established with 240 global carriers, Internet exchanges and well-known enterprises.
In a move to offer our enterprise-grade clients even better resilience and redundancy, the Group has increased its number of dual POP cities to eight. They are Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Suzhou and Taipei.
DYXnet Founder and CEO Lap Man said: "Our global carrier clients continue to expand business operations and upgrade their bandwidth requirements to run mission-critical applications on our reliable, scalable and resilient network. We regard this as a demonstration of confidence in DYXnet, so we are pleased to further enhance our superior high-redundancy backbone and so maintain our leading position."
He added: "Ever since merging our virtual private network operation with 21Vianet's CCIB unit earlier this year, we have developed synergies to offer best-of-breed network backbone as well as wider network coverage to our carrier-grade and global brand clients. The fact we are planning two new POPs outside Greater China adds a whole new dimension to our already well-established network coverage."
