K-Mobile to bring affordable tech innovations to yoga
TORONTO, Aug. 18, 2016 /CNW/ - K-Mobile employees are preparing now to participate in Toronto's Yogathon 2016 on Saturday, August 20 where hundreds of yogis and health enthusiasts will gather to practice yoga, as well as have the chance to try out K-Mobile's new K2 Android smartphone: a fast, reliable and affordable smartphone geared to enhance work-life balance.

"K-Mobile will have 15 employees at the event wearing K-Mobile t-shirts who will be helping instruct yogis, health enthusiasts and beginners with yoga activities. In addition, we will showcase how versatile and customizable the new K2 smartphone is at a price that makes sense."
Now in its fourth year, Yogathon Toronto will take place at Yonge-Dundas Square from 9:30am to 1:30pm on August 20 and is being organized by its key partner, Art of Living Foundation.
K-Mobile's K2 smartphone is available for $299 and has features that set it apart from other smartphones, such as a swipe tool that gets you to where you want to go on the device quicker than competitor smartphones. K-Mobile is also gearing up to launch a new fitness app this year, which will be unparalleled in terms of its fitness tracking capabilities.
"K-Mobile employees have a very positive, healthy outlook and they are excited help motivate others to make the most of the Yogathon event," said Hamida Patel, K-Mobile's Regional Manager who is leading the K-Mobile team at Yogathon. "Our employees will be showcasing how the great features of our new K2 phone can benefit people practicing yoga. In addition, yoga enthusiasts at the event who "Like" K-Mobile's Facebook page will receive a free K-Mobile gift bag with K-Mobile products."
As the first Android to be designed in Canada and launched on July 1, 2016, the K2 is now available in store or online at http://www.k-mobile.ca. The K2 features a 2-sim card capability, exclusive apps, unlocked and is fully customizable for all the customers' needs. K-Mobile has signed up with Koodo Mobile as a multi-carrier.
The K-Mobile flagship store recently opened in East York Town Centre with 249 more locations set to open in the Greater Toronto Area by 2018. K-Mobile currently employs 100 - including many students - and has plans to hire and train 1,000 more employees including 100 Syrian refugees. K-Mobile is a one-stop experience, offering service plans, smartphones, and accessories with no pressure or gimmicks.
