OPPO Takes Selfies to the Next Level for Youngsters With Times Fresh Face 2016

The ever-evolving global smartphone brand, OPPO, is sponsoring Times Fresh Face 2016,
a platform for younger generation to showcase their talent to the world. With this
association, OPPO is giving consumers an opportunity to discover the 'selfie star' in them
as the theme this year is 'Selfie'.
Auditions will be conducted in phases across 11 cities in India, covering about 180
colleges and 11 malls - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad,
Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Nagpur. The first audition was held in Kolkata on
August 16th. Participants who participate in the Times Fresh Face could attend the event
through OPPO online green pass -Â http://timesfreshface.com. They will stand a chance
to directly enter the final round. This is the first time that Fresh Face offers a direct
channel in 9 years.Â

India, elaborated on the association, "OPPO has always been focused on offering
beautifully designed phones and a flawless camera experience to the young consumers. The
younger generation is more expressive be it opinions or emotions, and selfies have become
one of the most popular channels for the same," said Mr. Li. "Thus with an association
with Times Fresh Face, we want to directly connect with youth who are in pursuit of
perfect selfies. OPPO is synonymous with perfect selfies and this association will enable
us to further take the Selfie Expert series to our target audience."
With 'Selfie' being the theme, the participants across cities will be able to
experience OPPO's latest camera phones in selfie booths at on site venues. Candidates
would be required to take selfies by the recently launched OPPO F1s which would be judged
by the jury. Participants who participate in the event through OPPO online green pass will
stand a chance to directly enter the final round. The OPPO online green pass can be
acquired by accessing the Times Fresh Face microsite and uploading a selfie and talent
video which would be judged via audience voting. The winner of OPPO online green pass
would be selected based on audience voting for the selfie and talent video uploaded by
participants on the Times Fresh Face microsite.
OPPO has always made efforts in connecting with the younger generation like several
college O-fan meet ups across India, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and
other countries. The brand also connected with young cricket fans this World Cup 2016.
OPPO also indulges in activities like sponsoring concerts and movie premiers for
connecting with the younger generation.Â
