TORONTO, Sept. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - The founder and Chief Executive Officer of K-Mobile, Shami Munir, joined with Mississauga's Mayor Bonnie Crombie to announce the grand opening of Mississauga's first K-Mobile store, and to celebrate the launch of Canada's first ever Android smartphone.
"We are proud to open our first K-Mobile store in Mississauga to all customers looking for a great mobile shopping experience and an affordable smartphone and plan," said Munir. "All in all, we will open 250 K-Mobile stores across the Greater Toronto Area and are hiring 1000 employees including 100 Syrian refugees."
This Mississauga store - located at 5602 Tenth Line West - is the second of 250 K-Mobile stores that will be opening across the Greater Toronto Area, along with the first one now open at East York Town Centre.
K-Mobile is a one-stop experience, offering service plans, smartphones, and accessories with no pressure or gimmicks. K-Mobile's guiding philosophy is to make customers happy from the moment they walk into the store, to choosing the latest phone and package.
In addition to opening a new K-Mobile store, K-Mobile staff showcased the features of Canada's first-ever Canadian Android "K2" smartphone to Mayor Crombie, which is available for $299. An exclusive product to the store, K-Mobile has signed up with Koodo as a multi-carrier and can be found at http://www.k-mobile.ca.
"My dream has always been to develop an astonishing smart phone without a heavy price tag," said Munir. "I'm proud to announce the K2 has fulfilled that dream. It is Canada's first Android phone, with a 2-sim card capability, exclusive apps, unlocked and fully customizable for all the customers' needs."
