JD Sound Enters US Education Market with portable DJ device "GODJ"
SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- K-ICT Born2Global Centre (Born2Global), a major Korean government agency under the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning (MSIP), announced on Sept. 28 that JD Sound, a member of Born2Global makes inroads into the education market in the US.
JD Sound completed its final delivery of portable DJ device GODJ to middle and high schools located in New York, USA, which has officially approved the product as teaching aids. DJ music classes will be offered from next month when the fall semester begins in the US.
Currently nine middle, high schools have decided to utilize the handheld DJ device in their music class, including Democracy Prep Charter High School, Democracy Prep Endurance Middle/High School, Bronx Prep Middle/High School, Pathways, Harlem Prep High School, and Democracy Prep Congress Heights Middle School in New York. Democracy Prep Public Schools will allow their affiliated 25 schools to offer music courses utilizing the device.
Teachers are prepared to give their classes without difficulties as JD Sound provides them with English-language video tutorials and teaching material drafts. Students who take the courses will perform at each school festival scheduled to be held in June next year.
JD Sound owns a technology of manufacturing a handheld DJ device. The DJ device features not only all the hardware a user would need including four stereo jacks, mini-USB, onboard memory and embedded battery but also a variety of software-based functions, such as play and record, sound effects, equalizer, beat sequencer and auto DJ.
