The <i>Mayo vs. Prometheus</i> and <i>Association for Molecular Pathology vs. Myriad Genetics</i> case decisions have narrowed the scope of the first screen for patent eligibility. However, claimed material must still meet the criteria of novelty and non-obviousness.</p>
