Micrel Names Colin Sturt General Counsel And Corporate Secretary
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 15 -- Micrel Inc., (NASDAQ: MCRL), an industry leader in analog, high bandwidth communications and Ethernet IC solutions, today announced that Colin Sturt has been hired as the Company's General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In his new role, Mr. Sturt has responsibility for all the Company's global legal affairs. He reports directly to President and CEO, Ray Zinn.

Prior to joining Micrel, he worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he served as a corporate attorney. Before that, he worked at National Semiconductor in the areas of organizational improvement, operational improvement, project management and operations support management. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. and two masters degrees, in Organizational Behavior and International and Area Studies. He also graduated with a law degree from the Columbia University Law School. Mr. Sturt is admitted to the bar in California and New York.
