S&P Credit Research and Analytics Available Through New App for iPhone and iPod
S&P CreditMatters Provides Rating Agency's Continually Updated Perspective on Credit Market Developments Globally.
NEW YORK, March 15 -- Standard & Poor's, the leader in financial market intelligence, today announced the launch of a new free application for iPhone and iPod Touch users designed to facilitate mobile access to the firm's perspectives on global credit market developments. The app, called S&P CreditMatters, can be downloaded from Apple's App Store on iTunes and on http://www.standardandpoors.com/mobile at no cost.
S&P CreditMatters for iPhone and iPod Touch provides access to select daily credit market headlines as well as select commentaries and analyses from Standard & Poor's Ratings Services. The app permits users to enjoy podcasts and video interviews with S&P economists and ratings analysts and register for upcoming S&P events. In addition, the app allows users to save and share content as well as leaf through a collection of hundreds of interesting facts and figures about financial markets, including many about Standard & Poor's and its 150 year history.
"Today's global investors are on the move as never before; they need timely access to insight, information and analysis when making important financial decisions," says Bruce Schachne, Head of Ratings Market Development, Standard & Poor's in New York. "Our CreditMatters app represents an innovative step in our expanded efforts to provide ratings transparency to investors globally."
Much of the app's content draws from Standard & Poor's RatingsDirect® on the Global Credit Portal, a web-based platform designed to provide real-time access to integrated credit research, market information, and risk analytics at Standard & Poor's.
Additional features are in the pipeline to be added to the app over the next few months. The development of a mobile web application to extend S&P's mobile presence to devices other than iPhone, including Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Android, is underway.
