Drexel University's School of Education Selects Sonic Foundry to Webcast Virtual Symposium Keynotes

Hosted by Drexel University, Wainhouse Research and the World Bank's Global Development Learning Network, second annual symposium connects presenters and viewers from around the world

MADISON, Wis., March 23 -- Sonic Foundry, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOFO), the recognized market leader for rich media webcasting and knowledge management, today announced the company's Mediasite platform will be used to webcast Drexel University School of Education's second annual Virtual Symposium, taking place this week simultaneously in Philadelphia Pa., Sacramento, Calif., Bloomington, Ind., Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo.

The symposium builds upon the theme Education for Everyone: Expanding Access Through Technology and will link a worldwide network of university scholars and educational practitioners. In person and virtual audiences will be brought together through live webcasts, as well as through Twitter, discussing best practices and challenges in promoting educational access and equity through technology.
