"China's cable, content and IPTV service providers are adapting to meet new market demands for video solutions including interactivity, video-on-demand, and other valued services," said Sun Liang, President, Potevio Broadband division. "With Concurrent's long-standing video solution leadership and market-leading initiatives in media data collection, aggregation, and advertising solutions, Concurrent is the perfect partner to help us lead the charge in the video evolution throughout China."
"We are excited to have Potevio partner with us to help us enable China's broadband operators to create compelling video applications and high-quality content experiences, accessible across multiple devices," said Dan Mondor, Concurrent's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Through our partnership with Potevio, we will be able to bring these differentiating services that drive subscriber growth and create new operator revenue opportunities to multi-screen video providers in China."
Concurrent's MediaHawk® and MiniHawk® Video Solution Platforms are the first unified system enabling commercial grade video across a wide array of networks, including cable, IPTV, Internet and wireless infrastructures. The company's rich, successful video heritage and innovative technology solutions enable operators and content providers to deliver more services to more screens, making video ubiquitous across delivery platforms.
Multi-screen delivery poses the additional challenge of collecting and correlating disparate viewership and operational data to provide a true, 360-degree view of the consumer experience. Concurrent's Media Data and Advertising Solutions (MDAS) provide the first complete, intelligent solution for collecting and correlating data from online, television, DVR and on-demand video consumption. This advanced data management allows the operator's marketing, programming, advertising and operations teams to identify new opportunities for revenue growth and capitalize on operational efficiencies to reduce expenses.
Concurrent has 205 distinct video systems deployed in cable and telecom markets worldwide that represent approximately 21.5 million basic cable subscribers. The company's MDAS software serves over 38 million digital subscribers and aggregates and analyzes data from over 700 million video streams per month.
Representatives from Concurrent and Potevio will be demonstrating Concurrent's multi-screen video and MDAS solutions in hall 1B, booth number 1B303 at the 18th annual China Content Broadcasting Network Expo (CCBN2010) which takes place March 23 - 25, 2010 at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC) in Beijing.
