Scrutinizer 7.5 Network Analysis Suite Debuts at FOSE
Plixer International Partners with Winvale Group to Showcase its Flagship NetFlow and sFlow Analysis Software at the Top Government Tech Event of the Year
SANFORD, Maine, and FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 23 -- Plixer International, Inc., a leading global provider of network traffic monitoring and analysis tools, today announced that it has partnered with The Winvale Group to host the debut of Scrutinizer 7.5, the company's flagship NetFlow and sFlow analyzing software, at FOSE 2010, the most comprehensive event for government information technology (IT) professionals.
Plixer will offer live demos of Scrutinizer 7.5 at the Winvale booth #2516 throughout the FOSE event, March 23-25 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Plixer recently worked with Winvale to secure a GSA schedule, which makes Plixer's industry-leading network traffic monitoring and diagnostic solutions infinitely more accessible to government agencies. Plixer representatives will be on hand to discuss how Scrutinizer can help agencies ensure efficient network data flow to ward off crippling network failures, even across disparate facilities with varying bandwidth allocations.
"Government IT professionals face the same requirements and challenges as the private sector in terms of maximizing network uptime and optimizing data throughput to prevent bottlenecks," said Tom Cote, director of business development at Plixer International. "We look forward to showcasing how Scrutinizer can help government IT managers gain better visibility into network activity."
Scrutinizer 7.5 delivers the most comprehensive network-wide monitoring and reporting solution to enable the effective and efficient management of network traffic over NetFlow, sFlow, Netstream, jFlow, and other protocols. Scrutinizer analyzes and reports on top applications, conversations, flows, protocols, domains and geographic parameters across dozens of routers and switches. Exclusive to Scrutinizer 7.5, The Matrix graphical NetFlow visualization view provides a circular graphical view of the top hosts to illustrate at a glance which nodes are communicating with each other, providing a more intuitive, dynamic view of network traffic with color-coded path lines to illustrate incoming and outgoing traffic.
"Government agencies will also benefit from the enhanced security and permissions controls that Scrutinizer provides," Cote said. "Our products provide complete flexibility in allowing visibility into secured access areas. Administrators can set threshold permissions and even receive an alarm when a provision is violated, complete with detailed access data to pinpoint, down to the individual user, where the violation took place."
Scrutinizer 7.5 is also the only NetFlow analyzer to support true Network Based Application Recognition (NBAR) to reveal the actual application used by the communicating hosts and Flow Expert window for troubleshooting network issues such as bottlenecks and transaction latency.
"Scrutinizer has become widely recognized as one of the most effective and easy to use NetFlow traffic measuring and monitoring tools in the industry," said Kevin Lancaster, Managing Partner with The Winvale Group. "And, the company itself has demonstrated a tremendous customer-centric focus and responsiveness that federal agencies will appreciate. We look forward to hosting Plixer for FOSE and showcasing how this powerful tool can help streamline IT administration in the government sector."
Plixer's NetFlow and sFlow analysis solutions are used to monitor traffic across some of the largest data networks in the world, including those of Blue Cross, Citizens Bank, Visa, Intel, Cisco Systems, Chase, Paramount Pictures, AGFA, Turner Broadcasting, ABN AMRO, and more.
