This article at the Inquirer states that the new Radeon card, which will include DX9.1 support, will be called the Radeon 10000. I have seen other sites call it the Radeon 9500, which I think is a better name.
The card is meant to compete with the NV30 chip not the Geforce 4 TI, and we're still probing what is going to be revolutionary in NV30.
The NV30 will have 3dfx technology built into the card. Nvidia may just be heading in the right direction. I really can't wait to see what they come up with.
