The Inquirer has a story about the possibility of Apple bringing the famous OS X onto an AMD based x86 system. Details aren't known, but it could likely be a x86-64 system so their arch nemisis intel can't grab that part of the market too. This would be an incredible leap for both AMD and Apple.
I don't have a problem with the Mac OS, just the hardware, and if hardware support for OS X manages, then Microsoft could be looking at problems as well as intel. Of course, Apple moving into a OS with diverse hardware could be bad, but we'll have to wait and see.
