MeFeedia Adds Support for HTML5 Video Search in Time for iPad Launch
BURBANK, Calif., April 2 -- Today, MeFeedia announced support for HTML5 video and canvas, timed to coincide with the launch of Apple's new iPad on Saturday, April 3.
"The iPad looks like the kind of device my whole family will be fighting over. Being able to watch videos on MeFeedia via iPad is essential," states Frank Sinton, CEO. "HTML5 brings with it many new & interesting features; including playing games natively in the browser, which is why we have added support for the canvas tag as well as the video tag."
MeFeedia's All Player technology now supports Flash, H.264, Ogg and a variety of other video formats - as well as HTML5 video advertising.
Though less discussed, the canvas tag element may be more disruptive than even the video tag. The canvas tag is capable of creating apps of all kinds (including games) that play directly in your browser and is already supported by most modern browsers.
