ERG Now Offering Hollywood and Independent Movies in the Popular DivX(R) Format
SAN DIEGO and SON, Netherlands, April 9, 2010--
- Leading movie rental company in the Benelux enables consumers to watch
premium movies on millions of DivX Certified(R) devices
DivX, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIVX), a leading digital media company, and
Entertainment Retail Group (ERG), today announced the availability of
Hollywood and independent films in the popular DivX(R) format at ERG's
online storefront http://www.moviemaxonline.eu. The launch marks the first
download-to-own (DTO) offering of DivX movies available to consumers in the
Benelux. Consumers will be able to download movies directly in the DivX
format for viewing on a wide range of DivX Certified(R) devices.

DivX technology is incorporated in more than 250 million DivX devices
that have shipped into the market worldwide from major consumer electronics
manufacturers, including DVD players, digital TVs, gaming consoles, Blu-ray
disc players, and portable DVD players. Consumers are free to transfer their
DivX movies via DVDs, USB drives, SD memory cards, and portable hard drives,
or stream content over a home network for playback on their registered DivX
Certified devices
ERG possesses a 65% market share in Belgium, Luxemburg and the
Netherlands with 440 Movie Max and Videoland retail outlets. By offering
films in the DivX format, ERG will benefit from the high consumer awareness

The DivX format allows movies to be compressed to a fraction of their
original size while still maintaining excellent visual quality. Full length
movies can be quickly downloaded from the Internet and played on DivX
Certified devices via DVDs, USB thumbdrives, SD memory cards, and portable
hard-drives, or streamed directly over a home network using DLNA.
