Yovia Starts the People Party in Advance of 2010 Election Buzz

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla., April 23 -- Yovia, the first People Engine, reaching more than 90,000 key influencers on the social web, announced today the launch of a political community designed to aid qualified candidates in the use of social media for their 2010 campaigns.

In preparation for the 2010 mid-term elections, Yovia has created an independent forum for political debate online.

The new "People Party" is designed to enable groups to build consensus via social networks, and then leverage that consensus for meaningful voter activity.

"Starting with President Obama, we're seeing a big shift in politics to focus more on grassroots, social-network-driven political campaigns," said Jalali Hartman, CEO of Yovia. "With the emergence of the Tea Party Patriots and other online movements, I think we will see a direct relationship between social networking and winning elections. These groups are not large, but they are extremely influential."
