According to Digitimes, VIA is losing some ground on their AMD chipset business.
Affected by its declining share in the Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)-platform market and the product transition to new Pentium 4 PCs, VIA Technologies reported its revenues fell 30.4% to NT$7.301 billion and its pre-tax profits 53% to NT$1.091 billion in the first-quarter compared to a year earlier. -Digitimes
