LEESBURG, Va., April 27 -- Verizon Wireless, owner and operator of the nation's largest and most reliable 3G network, is opening a new Verizon Wireless Evolution Store located at 1612 Village Market Blvd., SE, in Leesburg, Virginia, next to the new Wegmans. The store features an interactive retail design inviting consumers to experience wireless voice, data, music and video services in a sleek, full-service environment.
Evolution stores incorporate a number of innovative systems and operational enhancements designed to streamline the sales process and increase customer satisfaction. The Leesburg store is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The store phone number is 703-771-2015.
"We invite everyone to visit our new store and use our interactive simulators to test our latest devices and technologies first-hand," said Jonathan Humphrey, store manager. "We offer devices suited to everyone's needs and budget. It's our goal to provide a positive wireless experience every day, and that's why we continue to invest in our local stores, our local network, and the local community."
Verizon Wireless employees and the Town of Leesburg will kick off the grand opening festivities with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 30, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. During the ceremony, Verizon Wireless will present a $1,000 donation to the local domestic violence prevention group, Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter. The donation is made possible through the company's HopeLine® Phone Recycling Program, which collects used cell phones to be recycled or sold and donates the proceeds in the form of cash grants and wireless phones to advocacy groups for use by survivors. Store Manager Jonathan Humphrey encourages area residents to join the company in its efforts to help local victims of domestic violence become survivors by bringing no-longer-used wireless phones to the store for recycling through HopeLine.
Humphrey also encourages everyone to visit the new store to see the latest in wireless technology, including the wide variety of smartphones, like the Motorola DROID, the newly launched DROID Incredible by HTC, the Palm® Pre(TM) Plus and Pixi(TM) Plus and ever popular BlackBerry® devices. Customers can also check out popular services such as VZ Navigator(SM) - a location-based service offering maps, audible driving directions, traffic updates, gas station locations and pricing, and the newest Push to Talk technology now available on the BlackBerry® Tour.
