March of Dimes(R) New York Division Pilots Online Auction Fundraiser
Benefit for Babies Charity Auction Site Launches
NEW YORK, May 3 --
Launch of Benefit for Babies - March of Dimes New York
WHAT: Division Online Auction
In collaboration with Live Gamer, March of Dimes New York
Division launched a Charity Auction site on May 3 to help
raise funds to support the important work March of Dimes
does to help give all babies a healthy start in life. Funds
will go to support programs of research, advocacy,
community service and education. The online auction runs
for two consecutive weeks.
The project was conceived by the Division's Volunteer
Communications Committee and is a collaborative effort;
supported by media partners, corporate sponsors, board
members, and volunteers. WCBS Newsradio 880, New York Post,
Theatermania.com, WCBS FM 101.1, fresh 102.7, WFAN, 1010
WINS, CBS 2, and Marquee Concerts are supporting the event
with on-air and online promotion for the two-week run of
the auction.
Featured items include "meet and greets" with Venus
Williams, Joe Girardi, and Vanessa Williams; tickets to
American Idol 2010 Concert Tour; a signed Eli Manning
football jersey; tickets to Broadway hit show MEMPHIS;
CBS Broadcast Studio Tour; and many more. For more
