InBoxer Announces Anti-Bullying Monitoring Software For Schools and Education
New Software Alerts Administrators To Acts of Email Harassment Towards Students And Cyber-Bullying Complaints Emailed By Parents and Others
BURLINGTON, Mass., May 3 -- To help schools enforce the anti-bully legislation signed today by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, InBoxer announced new anti-bullying features in the InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance and plans for a new low cost anti-bullying email monitoring service for schools and educational institutions.
The new anti-bullying legislation calls for schools to investigate and report any case of bullying at school. It specifically references cyber-bullying, including harassment via email.
The InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance helps schools with the new requirement in two ways: (1) it monitors for offensive content and harassment in email messages and (2) looks for emailed reports that reference bullying. These messages can be forwarded automatically to an investigating official for swift action, regardless of who sent or received the emails. Messages can be handled swiftly, even if a teacher receiving a complaint is busy in the classroom or if an administrator is out of the office.
The InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance also enables schools to meet their obligations regarding email archiving, the Freedom of Information Act, open meeting laws, and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
"As a Massachusetts company, InBoxer feels it is particularly important to help protect students in our community. We wanted to be first to offer this important service," said Stephen Catanzano, InBoxer chief executive officer.
The InBoxer Anti-Risk Appliance is an email and IM monitoring product for email archiving, electronic discovery, privacy protection, and more.
