Consumers have turned to watching video vehicle walk-arounds because they are more informative and entertaining than static photographs. Customized vehicle video presents the selling features and benefits of a vehicle in a simple and entertaining package, making shopping far more enjoyable.
A leader in measuring the digital world, comScore, Inc., reported that 174 million U.S. Internet users watched online video during February this year. Vehicle video in today's online world is increasing in popularity and helping to sell and market vehicles.
"Digital video is revolutionizing the way in which consumers shop for vehicles. Combining sight, sound and television-type motion significantly helps dealers improve the way they market their inventory," said Tony French, president of Automotive Internet Media. "We looked at multiple studies and all support similar findings. Video influenced the consumer's decision to visit or contact the dealership, ultimately providing a better shopping experience and increasing conversion for the site."
DriveChicago.com is managed by AIM, which provides video solutions for dealership Web sites. In addition to DriveChicago.com the video can be displayed on other auto shopping sites, YouTube.com, Facebook.com, blogs and more. AIM video is semi-custom and uniquely produced for each dealership, and three distinct packages are available.
"Our video solution is one of the best currently in the market, but I have no doubt that we are only at the very beginning of where video will end up in the auto industry," said Tony. "All of our video efforts are meant to be building blocks to help DriveChicago.com to provide a better shopping experience for our consumers."
