Ubitus Showcases Mobile Gaming Solution at the China Cloud Computing Conference
TAIPEI, Taiwan, May 24 -- Ubitus, Inc., a cloud computing software platform provider in multi-device content delivery, and China Mobile today jointly announced a cooperation framework for mobile gaming solutions based on China Mobile's Big Cloud platform at the China Cloud Computing Convention held in Beijing. The Convention was organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and co-organized by the International Federation for Information Processing China Committee and attracted over three thousand participants with notable keynote speakers from leading companies and research institutions.
During the two-day event, Ubitus was invited to the press conference of Big Cloud 1.0 and showcased its cloud computing solutions at the tradeshow. The mobile gaming solution was further illustrated at the roundtable discussion by Dr. Bill Huang, General Manager of China Mobile Research Institute, who while speaking on the topic of "Cloud Computing Technology and Ecosystem" used "Game Cloud" built on the Big Cloud platform created by China Mobile. This act will enhance China Mobile's effort in providing diverse value-added service, particularly in the mobile gaming arena.
"According to a study by Morgan Stanley, the market size of virtual goods in the gaming industry in China is estimated to have hit US$ 2.2 billion in 2009 with a spiking annual growth rate," said Wesley Kuo, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ubitus. "We have strong reasons to anticipate a prosperous future ahead in mobile gaming and intend to cooperate fully with China Mobile on developing the Game Cloud solution."
The Game Cloud solution, powered by Ubitus' unique cloud computing technology on top of the Big Cloud platform by China Mobile, provides diverse game computing applications enabling users to access web games through 3G or WiFi connection without having to download extra software and with no compatibility or performance issues.
