SVOX and Cyberon Announce Partnership for Taiwan and Greater China
ZURICH, June 1 -- SVOX, the leading provider of speech solutions, today announced that it has entered into a wide-ranging partnership agreement with Cyberon Corporation, a leading Taiwanese embedded speech firm. Taiwanese companies are the world's biggest manufacturers of mobile phones, eBook readers, MP3 players and other consumer electronics. The announced collaboration will allow SVOX to drive penetration of speech technologies in these devices. SVOX stands to benefit from Cyberon's knowledge of the Taiwanese market as well as from the local customer support.
The companies have already completed joint development projects that make the SVOX language portfolio even more competitive in Asia. For example, the collaboration has produced best-in-class Mandarin and Cantonese Chinese languages that include SVOX polyglot technology, enabling Asian voices to speak English as a native speaker.
