New Gefen ToolBox Line Introduces Small, Wall Mountable Splitters and Switchers for HDMI v1.3 System Integration
LAS VEGAS, June 9 -- Booth N1751 -- The leader in digital connectivity solutions brings its new Gefen ToolBox line of products to InfoComm this year. Offering a new form factor with enhanced features for HDMI v1.3, five new products come with built-in wall mountable capability in either a flat black or glossy white finish.
The new Gefen ToolBox line supplies an alternative to rack mounted systems, with a smaller enclosure, built-in EDID detection and support for both two- and multi-channel audio. All are aggressively priced, total solutions in a box that support 1080p full HD and will pass through a 3D TV signal. Expanded HDMI v1.3 features include deep color, lip sync, Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio. One switcher, two matrix switchers, two splitters and a 3DTV extender are currently available under the ToolBox line. All six are compact solutions with all inputs/outputs for HDMI v1.3 on the front panel, easily accessible when wall mounted. Six-foot HDMI connection cables are included with locking HDMI capability to prevent disconnects when in the field.
3DTV Extender for HDMI v1.3
This extra long range extender is a pair of sender/receiver units that enable the extension of HDMI v1.3 including support for 3DTV up to 330 feet (100m) using one CAT-5 cable. This is a evolutionary new capability streamlining cabling requirements. Support for 3DTV makes it compatible with forward thinking systems installed today and HDMI v1.4a.
Switcher for HDMI v1.3
The 4x1 Switcher for HDMI v1.3 connects four sources to one display. Users switch between all four sources using an IR remote, RS-232 or local front panel selector.
Matrixes for HDMI v1.3
The 4x2 Matrix for HDMI v1.3 connects four sources to any two displays. Each output can be accessed independently making it a very flexible solution. The 4x4 Matrix for HDMI v1.3 delivers any four sources to one or more displays as needed. IR remote, RS-232 connection and the front panel selector control matrix switching.
Splitters for HDMI v1.3
The 1:8 Splitter for HDMI v1.3 distributes one source to eight displays. The 1:4 Splitter for HDMI v1.3 distributes one source to four displays.
