AGT International Launches World-Class Urban Management and Emergency Response Technology in China

SHANGHAI and BEIJING, June 10 -- AGT International, one of the world's top technology concerns, is launching its innovative suite of Urban and Water Management and Emergency Response solutions in China. AGT will present its range of technological capabilities at the Shanghai World Expo on June 11 at the Holland Pavilion as part of the "Holland Water Week" exhibition that will be a major highlight to the Expo's theme of "Better City, Better Life."

AGT aims to tap into China's explosive growth by introducing its integrated technology-based products that address the challenges of keeping the country's highly populated urban areas safe and efficiently managed. AGT is also forging partnerships with leading technical experts and government leaders in the country to bring new world-class urban management, emergency response, and flood control technologies to China.

"China is the most populous nation in the world and with unprecedented mass migration to urban areas.  AGT seeks to share with its Chinese partners a world-class, sophisticated and intelligent technology platform that can integrate complex information from disparate sources to predict, prevent, prepare for and manage disasters," said Mati Kochavi, Founder, Chairman and CEO of AGT International. Mr. Kochavi is a successful industry leader who has built companies all over the world in various fields such as safety, computer software, telecommunications, energy and real estate.

AGT's entry into the Chinese market comes on the heels of other successful ventures and partnerships worldwide. For example, a member company of the AGT network has implemented its Public Safety Alerting Network system to enable coordinated communication of all first responders (police, fire and medical services) between large Western land borders. This large-scale project aims to integrate 17 disparate organizations under a single communication network system that includes 9,200 first-responders, 172 fire stations, as well as connect numerous alarm systems from critical assets and facilities. Similarly, in the Middle East, a member company in the AGT network is currently deploying the world's largest urban safety project, integrating more than 10,000 high technology sensors, a unified command-and-control system, advanced analytics and a state-of-the-art data system.

In addition, AGT is at the cutting edge of advanced research and development (R&D) in the urban management, civil safety and emergency response space. In Germany, one of AGT's member companies has forged a joint venture with the world famous German Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and a partnership with Germany's largest software company to build a "living lab" for urban management and emergency response with integrated communications solutions.

China's urban centers, like many fast growing cities around the globe, operate through a complicated network of infrastructures that help keep them running efficiently. The management of basic services such as energy, water, food supplies, sanitation, mass transit and traffic control typically involves the use of technology overseen by different agencies. This complex web of urban functions makes it even more critical to adapt an advanced system such as AGT's.

AGT's Urban Management solution integrates and analyzes data from various sources, and alerts public officials, first-responders and other government agencies so that they can immediately make decisions and react effectively to natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes, as well as to man-made calamities, such as chemical spills when they occur.

Based on its Urban Management tool, AGT plans to also introduce its Emergency Response and Water Management modules to the Chinese market. These modules enable cities to gather complete and accurate information about the threat of floods and monitor it once it happens. This state-of-the-art tool can also do simulations and scenario planning, allowing users to anticipate problems and respond immediately based on pre-designed plans.

AGT's flood control technology is integrated by Custodia Group Holland, a member of AGT's network of companies, and is designed with countries such as China in mind that have big rivers and have experienced tragic flooding over many centuries. Custodia is based in the Netherlands, an ideal testing ground for this technology because more than 60 percent of the land in the country is below sea level, which also makes it flood-prone. AGT will provide a demo of this unique Water Management technology to officials and technical managers in China.

"The need for an effective flood alert and control system becomes more urgent in China as an increasing number of people live and work in heavily urbanized areas that are close to mighty rivers such as the Chiangjiang and Hwang Ho. AGT is among the first technology providers in the world to offer a fully integrated urban, emergency and flood control system," said P.C. van Oranje, CEO of Custodia Group Holland. Mr. van Oranje brings years of experience in developing solutions to manage high-risk environments and has held various senior-level security positions in the Netherlands and worked in this capacity with the European Commission.

Custodia's offerings are based on sophisticated algorithms and integrated sensor-based technologies. "We are very pleased to be presenting our company and technology in China for the first time at this exciting international event. The key to China's continued prosperity is investing in effective, cutting-edge technologies that can keep up with the country's rapid modernization, while promoting better lives for its people," Mr. van Oranje noted.
