First IDN.tel now Live in Advance of June 15th Launch
LONDON, June 11, 2010--
- Names and Brands in Sixteen Languages Available for Registration
In preparation for the launch of sixteen IDN.tel languages, Telnic
Limited (http://telnic.tel), the Registry Operator for the award-winning
communications-focused .tel top level domain (TLD), today said that the first
ever IDN.tel - http://xn--e1aggck1a.tel - is now live and accessible.
"With the launch of IDN.tel names, individuals and organizations in many
more countries can now benefit from a simple, single and professional point
of contact that they can share with friends, colleagues and customers and
which is instantly formatted for any device connected to the internet," said

cost, ease of setup and support for multiple languages, a .tel name is an

Telnic will be launching IDNs in Traditional and Simplified
Chinese, Danish, Finnish, German, Hungarian, Icelandic, Japanese, Korean,
Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and
Swedish. As further languages are approved for IDNs, Telnic will be
consulting with the community and adding these where there is a demand.
Registrations will start at 3 p.m. BST on 15th June and all
registrations will be on a first-come, first served basis and IDN.tel names
will be accessible shortly after this time. As with existing .tel domain name
registrations, pricing will be set by ICANN-accredited Registrars. A list of
Registrars which support IDN.tel registrations is available at
http://telnic.org/get-started-buy-idn.html. For best pricing, Telnic
recommends registrants visit those ICANN-accredited Registrars listed on its
website.
