The powerful 3D engine within the PADS product enables full 3D visualization, placement, design rule checking and PDF creation. Front-to-Back Usability Improvements

The PADS schematic capture feature now includes the ability to automatically renumber a schematic sheet and update the bill of materials (BOM) report.

Design starts can be accelerated with a new sample library, and access to the Mentor® component portal (PartQuest(TM)), now populated with schematic symbols, footprints, and parametric data for over 450K parts. Translators from competitive tools have been updated, including import of Altium® V15 libraries and designs.

Today, Qualcomm Atheros is announcing the availability of a high-performance G.fast chipset family, offering end-to-end broadband performance of 1 Gbps (1 gigabit per second) over a 100-meter loop, and a complete gateway platform for use in developing next-generation xDSL (from ADSL up to G.fast) gateways for the connected home. The new G.fast chipset family offers 1 Gbps throughput over a copper loop of up to 100 meters, as well as rate-reach performance profile above all published specifications of competitive G.fast solutions. The wave generation system includes a 20-ton wave board, four of the longest-stroke hydraulic actuators ever built by MTS each weighing 15 tons, six large hydraulic power units with a distribution system, and digital servo hardware and software controls for generating both regular and irregular waves.

Wireless smart control helps hoteliers save energy while meeting energy code compliance for hospitality rooms

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviton today announced the availability of the Omnistat 3 Hospitality Thermostat, a retrofit solution developed specifically for guest room energy management. The small form factor thermostat has a capacitive touch face, and when paired with wireless Leviton Lumina RF load controls and sensors, it provides affordable guest room control for hospitality rooms and suites. The device accurately detects if a hospitality room is occupied and automatically adjusts heat and cool set points based on occupancy, as well as on/off control of lights, televisions, lamps and more.

    As of today, Orange's mobile wallet app Orange Cash, which is supported by
Wirecard Group, is available nationwide in France. After a launch in selected French
cities, the mobile payment service is now promoted and marketed by Orange to its French

    At the Broadband World Forum, Sagemcom demonstrates its next generation range of
multi-gigabit media gateways which integrate ultra-broadband technologies - DOCSIS 3.1,
G.fast, fiber and multi-user MIMO 4*4 Wi-Fi - with a rich set of new services implemented
on SWAN[TM] software suite.

    After the G.fast in 2014, Sagemcom showcases this year the DOCSIS 3.1 technology and
fiber with its new range of broadband gateways. These solutions can enable the telecom and

    Designed with the technology breakthrough DOCSIS 3.1, the F@st 3890 can operate
simultaneously DOCSIS 3.1 and DOCSIS 3.0 32x8. This new gateway includes the Wi-Fi 4*4
11ac wave 2 for 5GHz, 4*4 11n for 2.4GHz, and implements MU-MIMO superior Wireless.

    Already meeting with great success since its launch in 2014, the F@st 5360 supports
multi-WAN technologies with an efficient autosensing function enabling a self-connection
to the network: G.fast and A/VDSL vectoring up to 35B, fiber via SFP module, and also
Gigabit Ethernet. The WAN can be extended "on demand" with LTE aggregation. The product
implements a MU-MIMO DBDC 4*4 Wi-Fi, and DECT CAT-iq for HD Voice.

    With worldwide experience on GPON inter-operability tests, the Sagemcom portfolio
offers TR-247 certified solutions for open and seamless deployments. The F@ST 5655 and
F5656 are compact and powerful multi-play gateways offering an ultra-fast broadband
