Law firm reduces telecoms spend moving from ISDN to SIP Trunks with trusted Cloud

National law firm, Irwin Mitchell, has turned to InTechnology to help bring
significant savings to its telephone calls and lines expenditure and strengthen its
network resilience.
With a workforce of over 2,000 people, the scale of Irwin Mitchell's operations meant
that its telephony costs were a significant overhead. InTechnology identified that the
firm could make considerable savings by migrating its calls and lines over to them and
switching from ISDN to SIP trunks.

full-scale migration of the firm's Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) and Carrier Preselect (CPS)
over to InTechnology which has significantly reduced its telephony expenditure.
Using the network connections implemented in the first phase of the programme,
InTechnology offered 1,000 SIP channels to replace the existing ISDN channels.

Putter Line Features Newest Insert Technology With Dual-layered, Textured Insert

With a lightweight aluminum face in front of a urethane backer layer, Metal-X putters provide golfers the crisp feedback of a metal striking surface with the benefits of a softer feel for optimal touch. Aesthetically pleasing with a sleek midnight black finish, the putters also offer a textured face that delivers a truer, more consistent roll.

However, in an effort to improve feel and performance, Rollinson added another key feature. The lightweight aluminum outer layer on the Metal-X putters has a face pattern unlike any other putter in golf, with oval depressions that create a mechanical lock with the ball's dimples at impact. This mechanical lock creates more friction, which delivers a lower launch with optimized topspin for reduced skidding and the truest roll in the game through steady ball deceleration. The urethane inner layer provides soft touch and saves weight to optimize performance. Together, the two layers combine for crisp responsiveness and sound.
"The texture on the face does two things -- it reduces surface contact and increases edge contact between the face and the ball. Reducing the surface contact during impact helps us create a solid, yet soft, sound at impact. That sound equates to feel, so it's a great feeling insert," Rollinson explained. "I came up with the oval design on the aluminum insert to also create a lot of edges, which increases the friction between the face and the ball and helps create a very smooth and consistent roll."
Taking specific feedback from Tour players, Rollinson incorporated a midnight black finish to increase durability and reduce glare on sunny days. First introduced on professional tours in early February, Metal-X putters have already been put in play by numerous players, including PGA Tour pros J.B. Holmes and Danny Lee. Initiative Will Enable Automatic Authentication of Mobile Devices on Wi-Fi Networks

Wi-Fi is increasingly emerging as a feature on smartphones and tablets, but today there is no consistency in the way these devices attach to Wi-Fi networks. This process includes device configuration, the use of access keys and the various mechanisms for acquiring and paying for connectivity. Wi-Fi roaming will allow mobile devices to seamlessly connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot using the SIM card for authentication, as well as enable mobile operators to uniquely and securely identify users whether they are on a mobile or Wi-Fi network.
Wi-Fi roaming will be based on the WBA's 'Next Generation Hotspot' programme and the Wi-Fi Alliance's 'Passpoint certification' technology. It will also build on the GSMA's successful roaming principles that have propelled the mobile industry to more than six billion mobile connections worldwide, a number that is expected to more than double within the next ten years.

Jenn-Air Plans Major Presence at Architectural Digest Home Design Show
Luxury Goods Exhibit Scheduled for March 22-25 at Manhattan's Pier 94

The site, http://www.hpc4energy.org, is a clearinghouse and one-stop shop for energy technology businesses interested in leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) and the expertise of the national laboratories to advance the commercialization of their new products.
The website will feature success stories by leaders in energy technology and describe successful partnerships between private industry and national laboratories. The site's mission is to bring business leaders, research institutions, and computing professionals together to discover the impact of high-performance computing on entrepreneurship and innovation.
HPC for Energy is an extension of the on-going program entitled the National Roadmap for Advancing Energy Technologies launched in May 2011 in Washington, D.C., at a national summit hosted by the Howard Baker Forum, the Bipartisan Policy Center, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The U.S. Chamber's Institute for 21st Century Energy, the Council on Competitiveness, the American Energy Innovation Council, the National Venture Capital Association, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Science Coalition co-sponsored the event. These partners produced an actionable, national roadmap for advancing energy technologies through the application of HPC modeling and simulation.
The National Roadmap for Advancing Energy Technologies calls for a series of events around the country to identify challenges and opportunities facing domestic energy companies, a pilot energy incubator program conducted by the national laboratory, and an interactive website to communicate the opportunities to leverage America's HPC assets.
