My father paid into Social Security, and when he died, they gave us monthly checks to help us stay afloat. I guess it probably wasn't his life insurance. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that.

That's easy. Microsoft will screw all the current owners of Xbox 360s and release a new console that won't be compatible. It will run Windows 7 (which will be bloated up before launch just like Vista).

Loss leading departments will have job cuts and this is just the start.

Memory speed might not influence overall system performance as what was once thought it did. It is an interesting test to see on a Core i7 build.

From Thread: Version 4 Upgrade Old Sun Jan 25, 2009 6:49:55 PM
There is a new news item posted at »ASE Labs

»Version 4 Upgrade

There will be a planned downtime for not too long on every site in the ASE Content Network (Adnet isn't included in that). The only site that will not be affected is ASEville since there is no Version 4 for that site just yet.

I plan on shutting down the sites in about 10 minutes. The upgrade shouldn't take too long.

Please add your comments below.

From Thread: Version 4 Switch - Sunday Night 1/25/2009 Old Sun Jan 25, 2009 11:56:31 AM
The plan is to do stop the sites at around 11PM EST and do everything.

I know stuff works, but still. Expect the next few days to be a bit different.

The themes for all sites are not finalized. I just need to get Version 4 out so I don't need to worry about it anymore.

B and D contradict each other. Smile

"Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.. "

I could appreciate that, had it been a joke, but (coming from you) I get the idea that it was not. I'm thinking less and less of you with each new word that comes from your mouth. I respect your right to an opinion, but those opinions shouldn't be stated in argument or in offense if they cannot be backed up. Also, make your own material, and stop copy and pasting from other websites. Yes, you can spell. Good job, I guess you might have learned more in school than other people on this website, but you are very lacking in other (and more notable) skills. No offense, but get out of the 1950's. Welcome to 2009, sorry if you're bothered so much by new ideas and concepts.
