And even if it doesn't, the concept alone is just awesome.

From Thread: Wii: Opera On Friday Old Wed Dec 20, 2006 1:13:10 PM

Said By Aron Schatz

The first revision of the Wii will include a hard drive or some other storage other than flash, correct?

SD Card backup storage, I believe. Everthing else is internal. The Wiimote also has a few kilobyte of storage for Mii transportation between consoles.

Said By Aron Schatz

It is also support DVD playback...

Not the first revision. The second revision of the console will include it, but its only been confirmed in Japan. In addition, it is a hardware revision, so launch consoles won't support it. Like it matters.

From Thread: FCC: Regulation Is Bad Old Wed Dec 20, 2006 7:19:08 AM
Hm. Even on a seemingly non-phone issues, the phone companies are still imposing their will. Seriously, they're trying to gain complete monopoly over everything. I'm not fan of cable (I don't use it, I think it's overpriced shit =D), but I'm certain the phone company won't be any better (what with how shitty Verizon handles my internet).

Also, I thought the FCC 'regulated' what was on TV, it doesn't seem like it should be puppy dogging after the will of phone companies. It seems like the phone companies are trying to make it impossible for the franchises to refuse to be bought, at least it seems that way to me.

The whole thing makes me wary of what the future holds for us TV-watchers =\

My greatest fear? That's hard, there are a lot of stupid things that scare me from time to time, but I suppose it would have to be losing the ones I care about. I'm not really afraid of something directly attacking my own physical self, at least not that I lead on.

Well it certainly seems like the bigger the company the more likely they are to do something dumb. Just as a case in point, Sony seems to have made every error imaginable concerning it's console. I wonder if there argument will actually stand up in court?

Torpark works as well. All you need is a flash drive to run the portable app, though it does tend to slow down browsing. Just another option.

From Thread: Adblocking use doubles Old Sun Dec 17, 2006 10:01:08 AM
I'll second that. Adblock is an excellent intuitive extension and my first download whenever I reinstall Firefox. Along those lines Flashblock gives you the option of whether or not you want to see flash contest, so it's almost like a Adblocker for flash ads though a bit overzealous. Even so, once you've customized it the extension can be extremely useful.
