From Thread: And then the cheese doodle said to the moldy cheese doodle... Old Mon Oct 9, 2006 9:52:19 PM
If you're gonna go through the trouble of making real pasta don't go ruining it with cheddar cheese (or any sort of non-italian cheese, really). Splash on some olive oil, some garlic (or garlic powder if that's all you have), and parmesan cheese and you're all good baby. Takes the same amount of time and effort as mac and cheese but it's better. And better for you, too.

I think before we have a chance to do anything GW will delcare he has a top secret report that North Korea does not have any WMDs and that it's leader poses no threat to us. We will then being a long drawn out peace process and lose thousands of men trying to become allies with north korea.

Quote

Now Fumito Ichinose at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, US, and colleagues have given hydrogen sulphide to mice in an 80 parts per million mixture with air – one-tenth of the dose that is lethal in humans. As expected, the rodents' heart rates dropped from 600 beats per minute to only about 200. But they also found that the animals' blood pressure stayed steady throughout.

From Thread: Let's play the genre game, kids Old Sun Oct 8, 2006 6:25:57 PM
A quick list: Horror and Action films being my favorite genres. But if you can combine all four listed, even better if done right.

1.Horror: Zombies, Chainsaws, demons, monsters, haunted ghosts, aliens, etc... "The Shining", "Day of the Dead", "Evil Dead", "Pet Sematary", etc.
2.Action: Martial arts, gunbattles, adventure, war movies, action-hero, comic book, action-sci-fi, etc.
3.Comedy: Stupid comedy, smart comedy, dark comedy, mockumentary, etc. "Naked Gun", "This is Spinal Tap", etc.
4.Some Dramatic: The kind of movies that make you think a little. "Glengary-Glenross", "V for Vendetta", "One Flew Over the Coo-coos Nest", etc.

From Thread: Spiderman 2 Xbox Old Sun Oct 8, 2006 6:10:28 PM
I played SM2 on the PS2, cool game, but the camera view is too far (it's like the farthest view in GTA, only one camera) from Spidey to get the sense you're playing the character, not just watching him swing around. The controls are choppy walking around, but the unlimited jumping, web-slinging, climbing and reaching the tops of every building is cool. Some of the missions are really tough, like the statue of Liberty one high above the water. It's worth a rental if you're a fan of Spider-Man.

They're working on Spider-Man 3 for the next gen systems, PC.

From Thread: iPod+iTunes+DRM Old Sat Oct 7, 2006 3:49:46 PM
some DRM may be easy to break, but not all, and it's bad enough that it exists.
"security" you call it - whose security does it ensure then ? It ensures the security of the record industry to stay alive. They know their time's up; DRM is their form of last-minute opression for survival.
