From Thread: Apple and AMD? Old Fri Sep 22, 2006 8:50:56 AM

Said By Aron Schatz

Apple could pull a Dell and go with AMD for two of their components (GPU and CPU) and cut out Intel.

Steve Jobs is personal friends with Intel's CEO, though.

Wouldn't that already be "Pulling an apple" since in the mac books they're using core duos and intel 950s (intels gpu).

Just goes to show that putting random members of minorities in power is not the best way to choose people. Of course, this is exactly the kind of guy Bush wanted.

I agree with you on that one.

"I am an EOE. I put one of those dangerous minorities for the attorney general!"

Are "Conservatives" who hate personal freedoms still considered a dangerous minority? I'll grant you the dangerous part though. Smile

This is why stem cell research is so important.

The intervention seemed to boost the thickness of the degraded epithelial layers from one layer to five or six after 100 days, when the rats were examined, says Lanza. This extra thickness is enough to maintain the photoreceptors and is translated into improved visual performance, he explains. After treatment, the rats' visual acuity seemed to be around 70% of normal, which Lanza describes as "100% improvement" over untreated controls.
