From Thread: WoW CT profiles (post them here!) Old Wed Sep 20, 2006 6:52:54 PM
I have my mage, got THE best +dmg gear without having any epics, never got into the molten core and so on kinda scene. I recently resubbed/relapsed and am rolling new char's with my friends, I got my lvl 47 rogue and the lock I just started. Of couse, non of the armor is worth showin, and i dont got a profile for my mage anyways. Once i get the lock i rolled today up to 60, i will then become interested in the endgame scene once again.

From Thread: Cell Phones Old Wed Sep 20, 2006 10:15:35 AM
In reality, the cell phone issue is correct...

I can see the difference in myself when I talk on the phone in the car. Even with a handset, it is totally different than chatting with someone else in the car. My attention to the road does drop a bit...

Likewise, there are many other distractions that also do this that I do use. These laws should be common sense, not finable offences.

Quote

Even though the Xbox 360 controller works fine on the computer, a little modding here and there makes everything just a tiny bit better. You will be able to use USB thumb drives with your Xbox too!

From Thread: Subs vs. Dubs Old Tue Sep 19, 2006 2:31:46 PM
Also, japan spends a lot more money into anime, thus having a MUCH wider selection for voice actors and actually finding someone who fits the job. Here, we have shitty voice acting and a much paler budget in compairison. Even still, in english you are changing the way the anime is suppose to be. The english voice acting may say things correctly, but the tone may be different and you'll get a whole different feel for the anime. My favorite example .... Inuyasha. Putting aside that many people either hate it or love it and JUST looking at the voice acting part, Kagaome in english is seen as a bossy and whinny (sp?), in japanese its a tad different, she is a little softer, a little more easy going and a little bit more compasionate, although still whinny. My point is you should watch something in the way its suppose to be watched ... not something handed down and redone. Meh, can think of an example that would prove my point but oh well.

Said By Tornado

It depends. Subs can't get across emotion and can destroy a movie (see Ghost in the Shell 2), but a bad dub can completely ruin the experience (see Sonic X).

Yes this may be true for a first timer watching a different language, but once you watch it enough you learn to pick out the emotions.

From Thread: Pirate Party: not in Sweden Old Tue Sep 19, 2006 11:14:36 AM
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,71809-0.html

It seems that the Swedish people didn't want the 'Pirate Party' to be in any sort of power at all.

I agree with the cause, not the name.

This is why I don't play Halo 2, Socom, etc anymore. Blizz really stays on top of the cheating in Frozen Throne.
