"Paying a little more is definitely worth the customer service"

The trouble is that in some cases it is not 'a little more'. Genuine ATI cards run around 30-40% more expensive then say, PowerColour, or Sapphire cards, and HIS.........HIS cards are almost 60% cheaper.

I really don't know what I can say, there is really no reason why a 'real' ATI card is 60% more than a HIS card, there is the quality factor, there is the support factor, but somewhere in the back of my mind I do feel ripped off a little bit buying 'real' ATI.

From a 'selling' point of view, I would rather sell you a 'real' ATI, because of the LOW return rate. PowerColour and Sapphire seem to have bad 'runs' where you will get a defective/questionable 'bunch'. HIS seems to lower clock their cards, so there is less trouble with their design/crappy memory they install, but they too suffer in 'bunches'.

I think your buying decision depends on how much cash you have and the reputation of the reseller you do business with. If your reseller will look after you in a reasonable fashon (what I mean here is exchange of defective product without too much bother) then it comes down to a 'money thing', if you feel that you are pretty much going to be 'stuck' with what you buy, then by all means buy the ATI.

Let's see...rules probably...
When you get ASEville up and running, you should put up a list of functions for that. Maybe how the point system works (like, you post in X, you get Y many points minimum. As opposed to if you post in A, you get B many points minimum; then length, etc. etc.). Rating system; how many positive/negative ratings you need to go up or down a "level", then how long it takes for your "level" too drop after a lack of positive ratings.

That's about all I've got, I'll get back to you if I think of anything else.

Though it's odd how the servers can only hold up to 20 people, I've actually been in one with forty. It's fine though, I wouldn't be able to afford a 40-man server anyway. But this is great, cheaper than I expected. I was thinking like...$250 a month (20slot), but on that last link it's only $110 a month (20slot), then on Atari it's $160 (20slot). I suppose it would be because of a difference in quality?
Do you perhaps happen to know someone who has used multiple server renting services that I can get a hands-on opinion from? Or have you done used multiple services before? That'd be even better.

From Thread: just a question for Aron about the Inuyasha post. Old Wed Apr 21, 2004 4:04:55 PM
You obviously did not look at the date that this was posted (January). Originally, there was no animé at all. But, Aron later decided to bring back the animé forums because all the stupid people had left. So this post should basically have been left alone since then, I don't know why you decided to post to it.

Anyway, yes, if you post animé outside of the animé forum, I imagine that Aron will be thoroughly pissed off, because one of the problems he had with the original animé forums was that retards would go and post animé in other forums anyway. I don't think he wants that problem to reit

Said By Pancakes

I'm surprised at your one-sided logic here.
Christians are not supposed to be nice to other religions. Christianity is their one religion. Any religion will tell you the only way to get saved is to convert.

And I suppose because some of us are psuedo-atheists then that makes us better than some one who has faith?

Well I know that, but the religion in question was Christianity. I suppose I could have posted "...along with any other religion," but meh. I assumed that everyone interested in the topic would know that all religions are that way.

It depends on what you mean by better. If you mean less inclined to believe a book that has been altered in "x" number of ways, then yes, I suppose "they" are.

I loved it. I have it on dvd. I like the Christian aspect to it. It's based on a book written in a time when Christianity was still common in Europe. Some producers try to take out the Christian aspect of a book or play when they make it into a movie, or they add in their own ideas that are not consistent with the times. But they were true to the book in that aspect.
