New Limkin Park CD thoughts.

i got to see the new LP soundtrack that was coming out. the one with Jay-Z. im a huge fan of LP and would die if they stopped making songs. well i heard the new CD and frankly. it sucked monkey balls. i was watching MTV greatest hits when they were doing a special on LP on Dec. 13. and i never turn LP. and i forced myself to because its soudnedly like grabage. im so pissed.

It seems your a bit behind the times.

I like lp also but this cd first of all sucks because it only has 6 songs on it and I only think one is good and thats numb/encore

Linkin Park is phony-baloney, overproduced, underwritten, mass-marketed product...in another word, DOGSHIT. There are so many smaller, unsigned bands out there that sound just like them, yet are so much better. Look past the product shovelled at you on a daily basis, and check out your local scene. You'd be surprised.

I still, to this day, regret when I was flipping radio stations and landed on one playing Linkin Park, I didn't have to know who they were or anything, they seriously sucked from the very beginning. I am surprised they have fans that buy their crap and go to and enjoy their shows and am also surprised that they can make money off of that shit they call music. Now and forever I will praise the day I got a cd player for my car so if I ended up flipping radio stations that that'll never happen again.

Linkin Park is terrible. Get some music taste.

I will say however that Chester Bennington's voice is incredible. He should drop Linkin Park in pursiuit of a project with more musical intregity. Although if I was him, I'm not sure I would.

yeah thats a good point cakes.. they have no reason to change and become a better band because they make so much money as it is. and chester has THE best name in existance.

I like a few of Linkin Park's songs but for the most part I don't like them. I've moved on to NIN, Rob Zombie, and Nirvana.

Linkin Park is disliked by some of the most prestigeous members of ASE and when you post a something about liking Linkin Park (especially when you misspell the band's name) your topic is more then likely to be filled with Linkin Park slams by Dr. Nick and others.
But Dr. Nick usually puts down most anything we lowly mortals like.

I wouldn't say Linkin Park is TERRIBLE.....I personally like their stuff, not all of it though. The new CD as mentioned at the beginning of this thread really does suck, and I certainly am not a fan of this stupid mash-up thing that is ruining radio. I'm not the best judge though, I like almost anything, from orchestral scores to Slipknot. I'm a strange sort....

You do realize Linkin Park utilizes hip-hop in many of their songs? Hence Mike Shinoda's presence in the band. It's cool though, you're right, if we don't like Linkin Park we obviously love rap. It's the only logical conclusion.

By your logic Mike Shinoda would be gay thus making Linkin Park gay. But it's okay, because Linkin Park is terrible even with out your logic. Exactly at what point does "My angst is like [place poorly executed simile//metaphor here]" become original? Exactly at what point does mixing hip hop with rock become original? Have you ever heard of Anthrax or Biohazard? Why does having keyboards and synths in a song that has maybe 3 different riffs and one basic drum beat that seems to travel through out entire CDs make a band good?

And why is it that you hate rap again? Because you hate the people who make it? You hate their style and clothing and attitude? It's okay to dislike rap but at least have some legitimate complaints. It sounds like the only rap you are exposed to is from your local "HOT JAMZ" station.
